The year of 2009 close its curtain with a lot of anime being aired, some which are great, while others are average or might be terrible, depending one's view. Before listing out my best and worst 2009 anime, I would like to list out what I find the best in my book for each categories;

Most Overrated 2008 anime: K-ON!, Hayate no Gotoku!!, Saki

Most Underrated 2008 anime: Valkyria Chronicle, Sengoku Basara

Best OST: 11eyes, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Guin Saga, Kurokami

Best OP song: Katayoku no Tori by Shikata Akiko (Umineko no Naku Koro ni)

Best ED song: Sequentia by Asriel (11eyes)

to be honest I find it hard to list some of the categories, because in my opinion, many of the show aired this year are simply too average, emphasizing too much on generic moe/harem character design with uninspiring story and fanservices, compared to series aired in 2008 and 2007.
