Fall 2010 anime series - the impressions [Part 2]

Continued from Part 1 of my Fall 2010 anime impressions.

Bakuman
MAL/Official Site
Genre: Comedy, Romance, Shounen
Number of episodes
: 25
Studio Production: J.C. Staff
Comments: Thanks to the familiar mangaka/writer pairing of Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba, Bakuman become one of the very few manga that I actually follow after my hdd crash incident. Couldn't get any better, now that it has been adapted into anime. Briefly summarised, the story tells the journey of 2 high school student, Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi in their quest to create successful manga. The story itself was quite interesting (just shows you how determination matters in chasing your dream), and with J.C staff at the helm of production, ensure that the animation remained relatively good (especially since the character arts didn't changed much). One of my favorite show this season.
verdict: 4.5/5 (must watch)

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai
MAL/Official Site
Genre: Comedy, Romance, Supernatural, School Life
Number of episodes
: 12
Studio Production: Manglobe
Comments: Aka The World God Only Knows. The story tells about Katsuragi Keima who has mastered the art of capturing girls..in galge. But thank's to his overconfidence, he's now contracted with a demon girl Elcea to try to capture runaway spirits hiding in girl's heart, and that's by making those girls fall in love with him. So most episode/girl's arc will follow the same formula where Keima will try to make a selected girl fall in love with him using all the experienced he learnt from galge, and the kiss to release the soul. It's refreshing to see a story offering something different like Kaminomi, simulating galge's situation to real life experience. Good to see that so far the series doesn't changed much than in the manga, while maintaining the comedies value. The thought that Keima's seiyuu is the same as Yabecchi (Mitsudomoe) and Youchi (Bakatest) is enough to make me laugh, especially when he get annoyed seeing Elcea's screwing things up repeatedly.
p/s: PFP = playfap portable
Verdict: 4/5 (watching)

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru
MAL/Official Site
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life
Number of episodes: 12
Studio Production: SHAFT
Comments: A comedy show made by SHAFT, now with maid-cafe. They never failed to amuse me, the humour really made me laugh throughout the episode (although I find episode 2 less funny). The unique, shaft-exclusive animation style become more and more familiar as the episode went on. The ED song in particular was awesome. The only thing that slightly turned me off is Arashiyama's voice (Omigawa Chiaki), which I can never get used to since her P-ko in Arakawa. Nevertheless, I'm always in for the laugh :3
p/s: Arashiyama somehow remind me to Fuka (Yotsubato)
verdict: 3.5/5 (watching)

Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls
MAL/Official Site
Genre: Action, Comedy, Romance, Ecchi
Number of episodes
: 12
Studio Production: ARMS
Comments: Hyakka Ryouran, a show featuring high school students inheriting Sengoku character names. The Pros: Awesome drawn cell-shaded animation, albeit sometimes a bit messy (thanks to those squid inks). The Cons - the same old recycled female-based Sengoku theme with some twists added. The art was really impressive, but the story doesn't appeal me that much. Plus those squid ink censoring was annoying, so I might consider waiting for DVD release, or ATX version.
p/s: long time since I heard Kugimiya as one of the main character.
verdict: 2.5/5 (will watch some more)

Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector
MAL/Official Site
Genre: Mecha, ecchi
Number of episodes: 26
Studio Production: Asahi Production
Comments: I'm not a mecha maniac, in fact I never watched any of the previous SRW series to understand how the friction started between Federation and DC, the L5 events, the ATX/SRX team, alien invasion, and everything that leads the story to this point at the start of episode 1. But one thing for sure, the design of the mechas are just too awesome for me to resist. So I guess you could say that I'm watching this for the mecha action.... and boobs.
verdict: 3/5 (watching)

SRW's seiyuu are epicly failsome, aside from that everything is great.. and btw, i heard that ATX's Hyakka is not uncensored too .. orz..

yeah, especially Lamia, though that kinda fit her slutty nature.

If atx didn't air uncensored version for Hyakka, then I'll just wait for dvd release i guess x_x

The story shows about Katsuragi Keima who has mastered the art of capturing women..in galge. But thank's to his overconfidence, he's now reduced with a demon woman Elcea to try to capture wayward feelings covering in woman's middle, and that's by developing those women fall crazily in really like with him. So most episode/girl's arc will comply with the same program where Keima will try to create a selected woman fall crazily in really like with him using all the experienced he found from galge, and the hug to release the soul. It's soothing to see a story offering something different like Kaminomi, copying galge's situation to real experience.
