I've had this song long ago since last year when I torrented this together with many other Sound Horizon discographies. And since then I've started to get a hang on this quite marvelous song. Only after I recently started playing Atelier Iris 3 a few weeks ago that I realize this song is actually featured as the main theme song for the game. +1 reason to continue playing the game :3

4th semester....

a week has passed since the result of 2nd year final exam is posted... somehow I manage to avoid taking supp (and even got Dist lulz). Now only about a week left till my 2nd semester of 2nd year degree commence. Duh, and I have yet to give my final word on my enrollment. Biochem and Biotech subject are must-take subject, and I don't have any complaint either since I love these two subjects. The final subject kinda give me headache. Several choice to pick includes Micro: Immunology, Genetics, Physiology and Chemistry. Chemistry is virtually out of question because I don't feel like doing a 6-hours weekly practical. I would like to take Genetic, but that would mean I need to take MBS practical C, plus I didn't take Genetic in semester 1. What left is Physiology and Immunology. For now my mind and ambition tell me to go for Immune, although my basic Micro from semester 1 is fairly weak (I think).

Perceptive Play 5

MYM|slahser has released the 5th volume of his Perceptive play series a few days ago;

some nice moments to be amazed:
*00:24 - Lina landing a perfect Light Strike Array to stun Beastmaster, and in instant evading his ultimate by blinking away
*0:27 - Leshrac blinking away from Void Chronosphere right before the skill is activated.
*0:50 - manipulating fog of war and terrain, Leshrac went uphill and acticate Edict+Nova, as well as stunning Zeus to net the kill.
*1:12 - Chaos Knight blink striking at precise moment to evade Centaurs' Stomp
*1:16, 1:55, 1:59, 2:01, 2:04, 3:40 - the power of prediction+Invokers' global skill SunStrike to kill low-hp heroes =)
*1:52 - Furion use Teleportation to gain vision of Sand King before using his ultimate to kill him
*2:37 - btilliant use of illusion rune to block EarthShaker from running, eventually killing him.
*4:48 - AMAZING reflex shown by Sven to evade Storm Bolt from Skeleton King at that close range, only to be killed by Shadow Fiend in the end
*5:04 - a level 1 battle of Furion vs Rhasta. Furion took advantage of his extra range to trap Rhasta and attack him when he is out of range, eventually get the First Blood.

Some thirty years later, in 2019, the government still monitors and controls information, suppressing anything they find undesirable, but standing against their abuses of power are the libraries, with their special agents called ‘the book soldiers'.

a nice Spring series has just ended a few days ago with a total of 12 episodes. This series is originally based on Japanese light novel series by Hiro Arikawa, with illustrations by Sukumo Adabana. In a way the concept of this show is unique. A very strict act is enforced to control the influence the media (Media Enhancement Act) and they would even resort use aggressive/military action, while the opposing force (Library Corp) which tries to stop them in any possible way in order to protect the treasure contained in the writing/arts, and of course they did it by abiding the law. The aim of the MEA is simple - to make the society "be free of any discrimination and be politically correct" by oppressing the freedom of speech and writing, but in truth, sometimes they overdid their by indiscriminately disposed any suspicious literature, and even to a point of endangering the neighbourhood in order to accomplish their mission.
Quoting the speec of one of the character; "If we were observed by people whose world has no MEA or LFA, we would have looked absolutely ridiculous" - that was absolutely right. We as the watcher of this series were intrigued by that fact, and this is what makes this series interesting.

The animation quality is smooth with the great use of cell-shading without neglecting the quality of the character design and settings. Talk about the main female lead Kasahara Iku, sometimes she looks too tall that she doesn't seem to feminine (well she's physically strong in the first place anyway). The character have great personality development, which mainly focused on the 2 leads Kasahara and Doujou. Kasahara with her stubbornness/short temper, yet a caring person, resembles so much with Doujou and both are indeed a nice couple in the first place. The OP/ED songs are also good, albeit not quite memorable.

And of course, great series won't be great if the ending suck, and Toshokan Sensou didn't failed me with its ending. It's all started since the Ibaraki battle between Media Enhancement and Library Corp during the inspection for the exhibition. They need to endure a series of troubles before they came to the rightful ending.

Overall Toshokan Sensou has been great all season, I'm really enjoying this show since the first episode

DotA Allstars 6.53

DotA Allstars 6.53 has been released yesterday, with some interesting changelogs. Map can be downloaded as usual at getdota.

some of the more interesting features of this version:

-introduction of new hero, Goblin Clockwerk. Being a strength melee hero with 4 active spells, he is indeed another unique hero. But of course his unique came in the form of the skillset that he posses. His 3rd skill, rocket flare has infinite range even at level 1, making this skill extremely useful for scouting. And the rest of his 3 skills synergized well. His ultimate Hookshot as initiator, then Cog to trap the enemy (and himself) and continuously ministun the enemy with his first skill, Battery Assault. In term of hero killer, he might not have the potential, but he is definitely good in ganks.

-slightly reworked Lycanthrope. Now his wolves and shapeshift do not have bash anymore, but in return he has max movespeed at all levels. Plus his howl is now a global skill which added a fix damages to heroes and units (which is quite a good buff to units with low damage output like spiderlings). While his Feral Heart increases damages and attack speed. A nerf or buff to Lycan? I'd say for now he seems better than before, since his lack of bask is compensated with the max movespeed and even shorter cooldown on his skill.

-a nerf to Soulkeeper movespeed and a bit longer casting time. This is pretty much expected, since with the new Sange&Yasha he gain near-max movespeed (perma-hasted) and is unstoppable :3

the rest of the changes is okay I suppose. But I do expect 6.53b to be released within this few weeks, we might see some changes in Goblin Clockwerk =)

Holy shi- What can I say? Shocking news. I'm totally stunned and speechless. This is really a surprising news for me, a good news of course. Virtus.Pro is considered as the world no.1 team (even after their reformation with the addition of LoH and blow), and now they're merging with Malaysia no.1 DotA team, Kingsurf which is also considered as Asian no.2 team (behind Indonesian team XcN).

Now I'm really anticipating the meeting of both division at ESWC at San Jose ^^

Found this when I was lurking for some music theme similar to Sound Horizon, and then bumped into I've Sound. There's some other music composed by this group, but unfortunately I have yet to find a reliable ddl sauce (plus my internet speed has been throttled till next week D: ) Some noticeable songs that I like are those from Ruou Ryouki (Princess Bride and Princess Brave), and Katakiri Rekka (Immoral).

People have been saying for years that Competitive DotA is too inaccessible to average people. It's almost impossible to follow it at all without a copy of Warcraft III to view replays, not to mention the large amount of time it can take to watch a good replay. The benefits of having viewable games on YouTube (or a similar video streaming site) would be enormous. PizzaSlice has clearly gone above and beyond on quality here, but it should be obvious how nice it would be for Competitive DotA to produce videos that highlight the best moments of games.

Only one word can describe this - awesomeness!!!! This video really impressed, showing the crucial moment in that game from the start to finish with very good choice of music to show how close this match was. There might be some elements need to be improved, like occasional peek on the heroes items and heroes level, and maybe some introduction on which player plays what at the start of the video. But overall a really nicely put video :D
