Mirai Nikki ED2 Single - Filament [Yousei Teikoku]

Title: Mirai Nikki ED2 Single - Filament
Artist: Yousei Teikoku
Release Date: February 08, 2011

Tracklist:

01 - filament
02 - Zetsubou plantation
03 - filament (Instrumental)
04 - Zetsubou plantation (Instrumental)

Download: [HF/EU]

........................

Never really thought that Yousei Teikoku and Faylan would switch roles in the middle of the anime. Nevertheless, I'm usually not a big fan of slow paced songs by Yousei Teikoku, but Filament was one of those exceptions, plus the song kinda fit with the current story of Mirai Nikki. I personally liked the second song, Zetsubou Plantation better than the ED2 song, it feels like...how should I say it, the song has the vibes of Yousei Teikoku's older songs from Stigma and Gothic Lolita Propaganda.

Mirai Nikki TV OP & OVA ED Single - Kuusou Merosogii [Yousei Teikoku]

Title: Mirai Nikki TV OP & OVA ED Single - Kuusou Merosogii
Artist: Yousei Teikoku
Release Date: October 24, 2011

Tracklist:
01 - Kuusou Merosogii
02 - The Creator
03 - Kuusou Merosogii (instrumental)
04 - The Creator (instrumental)

Download: [HF / MU]

.........................................

Man I never thought the single will be released this quickly, although now it made sense why the OVA ED took so long to come out. And, finally it is the "usual" Yousei Teikoku single that I've always love. Her previous single Mischievous of Alice single was great, but the second song was a bit of a let down for me. Anyway the more I listened to Kuusou Merosogii, the more I'm liking the song, even more than The Creator. It made for an epic OP for Mirai Nikki, although sometimes I feel the lyric didn't make sense.

......................................................................

It's been quite some time since Yousei Teikoku release any major single (the last one being Gothic Lolita Agitator, last December. So when Mischievous of Alice was released, it surprised me in several ways. For one, the songs in this single kinda gave a different feeling than those we listened to in recent years (notably Baptize and Rebellion Anthem). Mischievous of Alice (the song) is obviously the highlight of this single (and an awesome one at that), but how long has it been since we listened to a ballad (?) song like Emergence? I swear the last time I listened to that kind of song from her is when she was still in Denkare (and there's many of these songs in their release). Not saying I didn't enjoy it, but I certainly enjoyed Mischievous of Alice a whole lot more.

Yousei Teikoku - Gothic Lolita Agitator

Tracklist:

1. Asgard
2. still alive
3. one
4. Baptize
5. keep existing
6. Gekkou no Chigiri (月光の契り)

9. Gekkakou (月下香)
10. rebellion anthem
11. Viscum album
12. gothic lolita agitator

Download Link: [MF]/[HF]

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Actually the only reason to get this album is probably just to listen to the 2 new songs, 11) viscum album and 12) gothic lolita agitator, as all other 10 songs has previously been released as single/mini album. Nevertheless, without a doubt I ranked this Gothic Lolita series as the best among the three (Propaganda/Doctrine/Agitator). Most of the songs compiled into this album was simply superb. Those from fortissimo//Akkord:Bsusvier, Baptize, Rebellion Anthem and One especially.

Title

tracklist:
01 Asgard (Yousei Teikoku)

03 My wish = Only one (Yozuca*)
04 柔らかな桜光 (Aina Kase)
05 Swear (Aira Yuhki)

Download: [MU]/[HF]

..............................

Being Yousei Teikoku fan, this album is a definite must for me. Was waiting for this album since the day Yousei Teikoku previewed Asgard on her site (awsm song really). Needless to say, Asgard and Keep Existing are my favorite songs (who wouldn't have guessed that). Yozuca's song isn't that bad either.
Too bad the game (fortissimo//Akkord:Bsusvier) is such a letdown despite all the hypes. Blame the OP/ED for that.

Next: Asriel's 11th album on 31th Oct, looking forward to that :3

Yousei Teikoku - Rebellion Anthem

Title
: Rebellion Anthem

Tracklist:
1. rebellion anthem
2. still alive
3. rebellion anthem (instrumental)
4. still alive (instrumental)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Since watching her short version PV, I've been waiting for this single for how many days, it sure took quite a few days before I can finally find the full single. Anyway this single just made my day, her songs are getting better and better. From One to Baptize and now this, I really like their recent singles post-Gothic Lolita Doctrine. Should there be a third Gothic Lolita series, I bet it would be an epic compilation, hopefully greater than GL Propaganda :3

Katanagatari 03 'Sentou Tsurugi' Audio CD

Title: Katanagatari 03 'Sentou Tsurugi' Audio CD

Artist: Aki Hata
Release date: June 2010

tracklist:
01 Senhon Senjo no Jinkyuuka
02 [刀語キャスト] あとがたり 「千刀・鎩」篇 完全版
03 [湯屋敦子] 第零話 「虚刀・鑢/第三章」

Download [mp3]: [mirrorcreator]

....................................................

If you ask me, I would say that this song (Senhon Senjo no Jinkyuuka), aka Katanagatari ep3 ED theme song was pretty weird. How should I describe it... feels like the song is out of sync, or doesn't have specific rythm. But I still like the song, regardless.

Katanagatari 02 'Zantou Namakura' Audio CD

Title: Katanagatari 02 'Zantou Namakura' Audio CD

Artist: Shoujobyo
Release date: May 2010

tracklist:

02 [刀語キャスト] あとがたり 「斬刀・鈍」篇 完全版
03 [宮本充] 第零話 「虚刀・鑢/第二章」

.......................................

Katanagatari episode 2 ED theme song, Refulgence by Shoujobyo. Love the song, for me it was as good as the episode 1's ED theme (Yousei Teikoku's Tasogare no Getsuka).

Last Rebellion ED Single - Saigo no Michishirube [Shimotsuki Haruka]

Title: Saigo no Michishirube /Last Guidance
Artist: Shimotsuki Haruka

Street Release: Feb 2010

Tracklist:
01 Saigo no Michishirube
02 Kii te ha Ikenai Uta
03 Saigo no Michishirube off vocal
04 Kii te ha Ikenai Uta off vocal

download [mirrorcreator]
........................................

Feel like sharing this. When I finished Last Rebellion, I heard a very familiar intro from the ending song, and then this song from Shimotsuki Haruka rolls. Wow, to be honest although I long have this single in my possession, I have no idea that it actually belong to Last Rebellion game (iI was boldly written in the folder title as "Last Rebellion ED single" but I didn't really pay attention to that) . Download it on a whim months ago, and I have to say that this single is one that spark my interest in Shimotsuki Haruka and her dojin musics, I really love the ending song Saigo no Michishirube in this single. Well, if you're familiar with the likes of Kukui (eg Rozen Maiden and Shinkyouku Polyphonica) and some of Sound Horizon's songs (eg Atelier Iris), then you would probably know the kind of songs you would expect from her.

p/s: also recommended is her album Griotte no Nemurihime.

As I mentioned in previous entry on Nier's original soundtrack;
Awesome. Freaking amazing. Superb. Despite the crappy character design/awkward gameplay, I really love the musics in Nier. Soothing, melancholic yet fit with the theme and mood of the story. They're not the same with the one you often heard from Motoi Sakuraba/Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda blablabla, and have a tiny bit resemblance with Kajiura Yuki's operatic style arrangement, sang with choir in fictional language. Whoever compose the music for Nier deserve a double thumb up. Overall I can only say that Nier has one of the best BGM I've ever listened to.
You know a game's OST is good if you can listen to them independently in your playlist without reminding you much to the game. This is the case with Nier's OST, at least it is in my case. In many other games, usually only a few tracks of their OST stand out for me, but in Nier, almost every song are good and nice to listen to, although the song has no exact meaning due to the fictional languages being used. My favorite tracks would be all versions of Song of the Ancients.

kickass music, if only the game was slightly better designed.

Seikon no Qwaser OP2 Single - Baptize [Yousei Teikoku]

extra: Yousei Teikoku - Baptize PV [HF]

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Awesome songs. Another singles from Yousei Teikoku I've been looking forward too. Compared to the likes of Gekkou no Chigiri and those in Gothic Lolita Doctrine, I'm loving both songs in this single and the previous one (Queen's Blade One) better. And again, they somewhat remind me of her song shen she was in Denkare. Not to mention the currently aired animu is getting "interesting" :3 The PV was rather typical of her, it has pretty much similar styles with many of her previous music videos.

I would have thought that the ED will be released as part of Katanagatari's ED collection, never expect it would come together with the Audio CD. Since the files are huge (Flac, for the audiophiles), I decided to upload it separately, from the full version of the ED1 (Yousei Teikoku \o/), the drama audio and scans. Credit to Rinne for the release. mp3 version added.

Saitama Saisyu Heiki music collections

S.S.H. [埼玉最終兵器] (Saitama Saishuuheiki - Saitama’s Ultimate Weapon) is a Japanese musician. He used to primarily remix video game music and has become quite well known amongst internet video game music communities.

He has covered songs from a variety of games and series, including Thunder Force, Tales of Phantasia, Super Robot Wars, Atlach=Nacha, Megami Tensei, Ragnarok Online, and Unreal Tournament.

However, he is one of the few *doujin* artists who actually started working in the video game music industry. He did the soundtracks to games like Lost Child or Sixty Nine 2 and made official arrange albums for the Adelier series.

True to his influences, he tends to a guitar and synth-heavy sound in his music, which can be classified typically as instrumental metal; some of his songs occasionally include brief musical quotations of songs from renowned metal bands, primarily Iron Maiden.

His medley of Castlevania songs, entitled 「悪魔城ドラキュラ~The Quest~」 (Akumajou Dracula~The Quest~) features a musical quotation of Iron Maiden’s The Trooper (timestamp 5:02). In another piece, Ys4`The Dawn of Ys, he re-arranges the song with Iron Maiden’s The Evil That Men Do. [credit: last.fm]

I've known SSH for quite some time, in particular his arrange music for Guilty gear's Holy Order, and Atelier Iris. A few days ago I found out about his arranged song of Wail of Soul (one of my favorite song in used in VP2 MAD Manifest Destiny) in deady's blog, which prompted me to lurk for his works, and luckily I found a torrent for that. Surprisingly despite having only about 2-5 seeders, it took me about a night to finish downloading the whole 2.4GB collection. As you can see, there are still a few of his work that I didn't include in this post, some of which are rather hard to find (and I don't have much time to lurk for them either).
Many of his synth rock/metal musics are awesome.

I've made a post before about the OP5 shown in bakemonogatari ep14, and despite not being a fan of Yui Horie (as a singer, not as a seiyuu), tbh I really like this song. The OSTs are not bad either, at least they I find it distinctive and memorable. Well, he is Haruhi and Lucky Stars's bgm composer after all. Thanks to LonE for the release of this full single+OST part 1. As said in earlier post, part 2 is due to be released in late march.

Durarara 8 - Transient Dream

We're back to Celty again this time. She had a day off after almost a year, and for that Shinra also decided to do the same. To commemorate this rare day, she would like to cook for Shinra, and she did it nicely but Shinra's teary eyes led her to think that she screwed up her cooking and swept it away into a big black sphere. Talk about misunderstanding. More conversations about Celty's head followed, but ended up with Celty getting angry after Shinra repeated his remark that she didn't need her head, and that she didn't like to be treated like a kid. Talk about another misunderstanding? As she headed out, she had a deep thought about the importance of her head and how her current self fare without it. Nevertheless, both made up later and went to Simon's sushi restaurant for some food..

To the Dollars members. The kidnapping case was solved but Kadota decided to look further into the issue, starting with the Yagiri Pharmacy, although he has yet to make any move. Oh his way back, he passed by a guy who later tried to bomb-suicide the Yagiri Pharmacy but failed and was later attended by Shinra. Karisawa and Yumacchi had their own little scene too. So did Mikado trio, where Anri apparently lost her shoes in her locker. Both Anri and Mikado went looking for it together, but Anri decided to give up for that day and went home, although shortly after Mikado did found the shoes and returned it to Anri, without being able to say much words. And finally the scenes switched to Seiji and her "girlfriend", and the truth were revealed..

comments: This episode seems going all over the place for me because of the scenes switching, but the major talking point is undoubtedly Celty and the pursuit of her head, with big spoilers revealed regarding her head. But then we probably already see that coming from long ago, more so for the novel/manga readers. Celty as a cooker is rather unexpected and the fact that they're delicious made it even more surprising (especially after seeing how she tried to cut the vege with her mini scythe). I wonder how much her "current" head affect her body/emotions. I do share Dotachin's curiosity about the kidnapping and human experiment by Yagiri Pharmacy, and it looks like more details would be filled to us in the next episode.

Sugar Sweet Nightmare

what a fine song. I did saw the torrent for full version upped on TT a few days ago but pay not much heed on it because, well, I never have much expetation for most songs from Yui Horie, until after I watch the actual episode (Bakemonogatari ep 14). Love it :3
This song comes together with Bakemonogatari OST part 1. Part 2 out in late March.

Nostalgic. Is all I would say for the ENOZ part. Although I'm not really a fan of Hirano Aya and Minori Chihara, I do like some selective songs in their collection (e.g. the obvious God Knows and Kimi ga Kureta Ano hi). Nonetheless I feel Minorin's tranquil ED song do match with how the ending goes in the novel, and hopefully the movie too.
Speaking of the movie, I definitely can't wait for the sub. At some point I do wonder how are KyoAni going to cramp the whole volume into a movie, but then it's probably doable considering the length of the movie. Ah wait, since it was aired in theatre, then the time we have to wait might just be similar to Vesperia First Strike -_-;

finally the ED single for the boob milking show (I still like the show even without that ecchi/fanservice, but they were a big plus). The OP was released a few weeks ago. Overall I like the ED song (Passionate Squall original version) more (the best Winter song so far in my book), but for the sake of completion, I upload both OP/ED songs. Is it just me, I can't really point out Toyosaki Aki's voice in the song compared to other seiyuus lol. MU/MF would take awhile to upload, for some reason they're being dick to me :(

Denkare music collection

Denkishiki Karen Ongaku Shuudan (or Denkare) is a band (I think) created on the year 2001, which is formed by the next members:

- Denki (Lyricist, Composer)
- Karen (Vocalist, Lyricist)
- Shiki (Guitarrist)
- Dang (Chorus, I think)

They aren't very known in the musical world, except by some performance made for H-games, for example, MinD DeaD BlooD, GUN-KATANA, and others.

Their musical style is a blend of Heavy Metal (a la X Japan, HIZAKI, and others) and Electronic, with some gothic elements. I think that is the best form to describe their musical style.

Simply. Karen, the vocalist of Denkare sounds like Fairy Yui because she's Fairy Yui (or Yui Itsuki, their real name) from Yousei Teikoku, or this seems to be, because in the Yui's official site doesn't appear the information about their musical performances on both bands, but there are other additional date, and is the birth date of Yui Itsuki. The birth date of her is October 25 (the year is unknown), which is the same birth date of Yui from Yousei Teikoku and Karen from Denkare. With this date, I can conclude that Fairy Yui and Karen are the Yui Itsuki's alias on their musical projects.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Remember the very old post I made about Karen aka Denshiki Karen Ongaku Shuudan and their Gun Katana Sound Archives? I've been a huge fan of her since the first time I heard the song Raison D'etre and had uploaded their songs in this post. Recently I went through their collections again and found even more delicious songs in my archives, some of which I don't even remember where I got those from. I used to tag all their song with "Karen" as their artist name, but I thought this could cause some misunderstanding with another Karen, as shown in Last.Fm page. Hence I started retagging all my Denkare songs in my archives with proper artist name (Denkare rather than Karen). Unfortunately there's too many song which their kanji are too hard for me to romanize, so I leave some as they are. And some of the album information might have been messed up too :/

Aside from my long favorite song Raison D'etre, Sakuramai and Sakura Child, discovered songs that I loves includes Erase, Absolute Blue and Yuketsu, and Sudden Death R99 and a few Mugen Kairou songs :3

Fairy Yui's songs back then as Denkare is pretty dark-themed, but I guess it fits with the eroge it affiliated with (anyone played Gun Katana, Mugen Kairou and Mindead Blood would probably understand). Yousei Teikoku ftw \o/
